The point about the “things that students should know” is very interesting… How can schools make sure that everybody have and can apply a similar set of knowledge or skills? And to what extent that is important? And in places like ITP, where everybody comes from extremely different backgrounds, is there any common ground skill or knowledge-wise? What are the challenges of working with students without (much of) this common ground?
